Philipp Schade is a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Associate in the Research Network "Digitalization" at the Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. His research focuses on investigating how different aspects of digitalization affect (corporate) entrepreneurial pursuits. In his research, Philipp uses methods from the branches of artificial intelligence such as machine learning and deep learning, as well as text mining tools (e.g., bag-of-words), and other quantitative techniques like multilevel (structural equation) modeling. His research has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing and the Journal of Business Venturing Insights. In his JBV article "Digital infrastructure and entrepreneurial action-formation: A multilevel study", he is the first who jointly examines individual and external drivers of entrepreneurship, by introducing the concept of “EE mechanism-based theorizing”.
